Semillon Room

There are 3 lovely non-smoking rooms available for guests on the first floor of Grays Inn and all the rooms were renovated and upgraded in 2011. The verandah overlooking Wollombi village runs along the front of Grays Inn and is available for the use of all guests. All our rooms are air-conditioned and have iPod/iPhone docks or a radio. Our guests can relax in the garden at the rear of Grays Inn and even enjoy a game of chess on the giant chessboard.

A bottle of local wine with the compliments of Noyce Brothers Wine is in each room. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and there are hairdryers in each bathroom. Lovely meals are available from local restaurants in Wollombi Village. Guests can also arrange for private tastings of Noyce Brothers Wines in their Cellar Door underneath the rooms.

The very elegant SEMILLON ROOM is our largest room with an ensuite bathroom, queen sized bed, lounge area in front of the old fireplace and table and chairs for light refreshments. There are glimpses of The Garden and the lounge area looks out onto the large front verandah. There is adequate space in the Semillon room for another single bed.

“Grays inn is 3 beautiful rooms above a wine cellar in a very old building. The floor slopes just enough to remind you of its age. Apparently it was convict built but there were no ghosts that we noticed! Our bathroom was across the landing but was exclusively ours. The other two rooms are bigger and en-suite. Opposite is an interesting junk shop called the Forge. The resident dog likes long vintage dresses and stood under my petticoats, following me around the shop!”

“My wife & I have just had a 1 night stay at Grays Inn which is a 19th century Georgian building in the centre of Wollombi Village. The accomodation rooms are upstairs on level 1 which share the balcony that overlooks Wollombi Village, downstairs on the ground level is a restaurant & wine tasting is available at their Cellar Door. At the rear of the Inn you can spend time in the garden. We found our room was very comfortable & the complimentary bottle of red wine waiting for us in the room was a bonus.”
